The hotly anticipated second season of Amazon Prime Video‘s critically acclaimed murder mystery comedy Deadloch debuts worldwide on March 20, and the streamer has released the first official trailer to get fans excited again. Debuting in June 2023, Deadloch, a foul-mouthed, deadpan Aussie comedy built around a murder mystery, was a breakout hit for Prime Video’s Australian originals team, finding a global audience through word-of-mouth. The first season picked up a series of awards and nominations along the way, including winning five AACTA awards and scoring an International Emmy nod. Once again detectives Eddie and Dulcie must investigate a murder most foul, on this occasion its Eddie’s former partner Bushy, and this time they must negotiate the harsh environment, colorful locals and, of course, the crocs. Deadloch season one regulars Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama and Alicia Gardiner return, as the characters follow Sami’s Eddie back home to Darwin. New faces in season 2 include Luke Hemsworth, Steve Bisley, Shari Sebbens, Genevieve Morris, Byron Coll, Nikki Britton, Anthony J Sharpe, Blake Pavey, Damien Garvey, Ngali Shaw, Bev Killick, Ling Cooper-Tang, Ursula Yovich, Syd Brisbane, Ines English, Lennox Monaghan, Reiden Corpus, Storm Murgha and Jean Tong in their acting debut. Deadloch season 2 is created and written by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan who also serve as executive producers alongside Kevin Whyte, Tanya Phegan and Ben Grogan from Guesswork Television. Andy Walker is the producer, and the series is directed by Beck Cole and Gracie Otto. Deadloch is produced by Guesswork Television, OK Great Productions and Amazon MGM Studios.
