Talarico is running for U.S. Senate in the Democratic primary against candidates including Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), hoping to flip the seat long occupied by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX). Cornyn himself is facing a primary challenge from figures including state Attorney General Ken Paxton. The Thursday reception will be hosted by James Costos and Michael Smith, with other hosts including Morgan and Derrall Cox, Vanessa Benavides and Sheila Bryant, Connie Britton, Joseph Calabrese, James Duff, Arash Homampour, Kevin Huvane, Michael Keegan, John Lamonica, Wendie Malick, Julie Sharbutt and Meredith Stiehm and Tom Smuts, per an invite.
