EXCLUSIVE: Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård fantasy film Wicker is the latest Sundance 2026 movie to secure a domestic theatrical release after Black Bear clinched a deal out of the European Film Market following a competitive situation. Elizabeth Debicki, Peter Dinklage Marli Siu, and Nabhaan Rizwan also star in married filmmakers Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson’s movie, which is produced by Topic Studios and Tango. CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group handled the domestic sale. Based on the short story The Wicker Husband by Ursula Wills, Colman plays an ostracized fisherwoman who commissions a wicker husband from the local basketmaker (Dinklage), but her unexpected romance with the intricate creation (Skarsgård) sparks jealousy and threatens the village’s social order.
