Emergency services were called to the crash in Burpengary just after 10:30pm, where police said multiple vehicles were spotted travelling southbound in the northbound lanes. Police said a truck was travelling in the wrong direction when it struck a car. The car's driver, a 26-year-old man, died at the scene. The truck's driver was taken to hospital with multiple injuries and remains in a life-threatening condition. The northbound lanes were closed for several hours following the incident and diversions were put in place at the Boundary Road off-ramp.The roads have since reopened. A crime scene has been declared as investigations continue.
