Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the Democratic Party’s presidential pick in the next election. The panel immediately shot down Chrisley’s take, with Whoopi Goldberg repeating, “No, no, no!”open image in gallerySavannah Chrisley is under fire for her comments while guest hosting ABC's 'The View' (Middle East Images)open image in gallerySavannah Chrisley has been seated next to co-host Sunny Hostin during her time as a guest host on 'The View' (ABC)Fans of The View have flooded social media all week with criticisms of Chrisley’s spot on ABC’s popular show while Griffin is on maternity leave, but Thursday’s outrage came particularly swift as viewers unleashed their frustration with the conservative influencer’s repetitive talking points.“Ok that Savannah Chrisley woman is so insufferable. I see exactly what she's doing. I'm so glad the other ladies of [The View] are not falling for it. Alyssa hurry back, I can't take her another day lol,” one viewer complained on X. Another wrote: “Who's idea was it to put Savannah on the View? She's incapable of having a discussion. All she has are rehearsed talking points and can't contribute outside that. I wouldn't mind if there was a discussion, but this is watching cult programming.”One person reacted to Thursday’s clash, “Get rid of Savannah. Sunny is right. Trump is a racist,” with another agreeing, “Arguing that Trump isn’t a racist, and during Black history month no less, makes me think you’re racist too. Get Savannah off the show omfg.”Another critic wrote: “Savannah Chrisley is in over her head. She’s not skilled to get her MAGA points across with these ladies. Eating her alive.”Before she went on the show, Chrisley said on her podcast, Unlocked, that hosting the show would be “out of her comfort zone,” but that she wanted to do it because she enjoys “doing things that challenge me — I like doing things that educate me.”“I’m totally going outside of my comfort zone by doing The View,” she said on the podcast. “These personalities have bashed my family, have bashed me. These are the same women who made a comment to the extent of, ‘Wonder what she had to do for those pardons.’”The Chrisleys were best known for their Chrisley Knows Best series on USA Network, which followed the tight-knit family’s wealthy lifestyle before the parents were indicted on charges, and eventually found guilty, of bank fraud, wire fraud and tax evasion. However, Trump pardoned Todd and Julie in May 2025, resulting in the family’s adoration and outspoken support of the president.More aboutTrumpThe ViewJoin our commenting forumJoin thought-provoking conversations, follow other Independent readers and see their repliesCommentsMost popularPopular videosBulletinRead next
