The singer-songwriter has been named Biggest-Selling Global Artist of the Year 2025, an award recognizing her record-breaking accomplishments in streaming as well as physical and digital sales. It marks her sixth time receiving the honor. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry credits the release of Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, and the documentary series The End of an Era with driving global engagement from fans. The record debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 in October 2025. It has spent a total of 12 weeks in the top slot, while singles “Opalite” and “The Fate of Ophelia” have made themselves at home on the Hot 100. Swift also saw a boost in streams in 2025 after she regained control of her recorded music catalog six years after her old label, Big Machine Label Group, sold it to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings. For the first time in years, fans were able to listen to the non-Taylor’s Version recordings of her albums completely guilt-free. Reputation, in particular, saw a 1,184 percent increase in album sales and a 125 percent increase in streaming, equivalent to 34.75 million streams, when Swift broke the news.
