Read full story KOTA KINABALU: Two men were arrested in separate cases involving alleged domestic violence and criminal intimidation in Tawau on Friday (Feb 20).In the first incident, a 28-year-old local man was nabbed after he was accused of beating his wife over his dissatisfaction with how she cared for their child.Tawau OCPD Asst Comm Jasmin Hussin said the woman lodged a report after the incident and her husband was arrested shortly after in Kg Titingan.The suspect will be investigated for domestic violence, criminal intimidation and causing hurt.In the second incident, a man allegedly received a voice message containing threats from a labourer who became angry when the victim refused to give him money.“The victim claimed that the labourer had asked for some money, but he refused, resulting in the suspect sending threatening messages via phone,” said ACP Jasmin.The suspect, a 42-year-old foreigner, was arrested in Kg Baru Batu 2, Jalan Apas.He will be probed for criminal intimidation and under the Immigration Act, he said.
