The recorded version features Megan Thee Stallion, although she did not join the musicians for the performance. The girl group revisited the track on the late-night show to celebrate its inclusion in Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters, which is currently up for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars. Last year, TWICE made history as the first female K-pop act to headline Lollapalooza — or Twicepalooza, as their fans dubbed the event. In October, they became the first K-pop group to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Group members Jihyo, Chaeyoung, and Jeongyeon recorded “Takedown,” a new song, for the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack. Notably, the members appear in human form singing the track at the end of the film. “We didn’t accept this because we knew it would be a huge success,” Chaeyoung told Rolling Stone. “It just sounded like fun.
