KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations made the decision following advice from Phars Films, one of their major distribution partners, as escalating tensions have disrupted cinema operations across the Gulf region, a key market for the film’s multi-language global rollout. The shift averts a direct clash with “Dhurandhar: The Revenge,” Ranveer Singh‘s sequel to the Pakistan-set blockbuster spy thriller that is also scheduled for March 19. The first “Dhurandhar” was banned from theatrical release in several Gulf Cooperation Council countries, though it later became a streaming phenomenon on Netflix, topping charts across several countries globally. In the Middle East, India-Pakistan political sensitivities can make theatrical releases for this kind of material complicated or commercially risky. “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” is sticking to its March 19 release date, producer Jio Studios has confirmed to Variety. Popular on Variety The “Toxic” postponement comes as the production was preparing for a March 8 trailer launch in Bengaluru. The makers had completed the film’s first single “Tabaahi,” scheduled to debut March 2, but have chosen to hold the music video and pause the promotional rollout. “‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ is a film we conceptualized with the vision to create cinema for a global audience. Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world,” the statement read. “After years of dedicated labor, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March. However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience. Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release.” The film stars Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. Written by Yash and director Geetu Mohandas, the production has been shot simultaneously in the Kannada and English languages with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The film is directed by Mohandas and produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash through KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Abhijeet Bhattacharya urges Government of India for safe return of his son Jay from Dubai, later deletes post

Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has urged the Government of India to help bring his son back home from Dubai as tensions continue to rise in West Asia. The singer shared an emotional message on Instagram, revealing that his son, Jay Bhattacharya, is currently stranded in Dubai due to travel disruptions linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.Describing the situation as an “incredibly distressing time” for the family, Abhijeet wrote, “My son Jay Bhattacharya is currently stuck in Dubai, and as a father, this is an incredibly distressing time for our family. I sincerely request the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs to kindly look into his situation and help ensure his safe return to India at the earliest. We are hoping for your urgent support and intervention. Please help bring him home safely. @narendramodi@meaindia @moca_goi @amitshahofficial @jaybhattacharya_@airindia @emirates @indigo.6e @spicejetairlines.”However, Abhijeet later deleted the post. The appeal comes at a time when the region has witnessed serious military escalation. On February 28, Israel carried out what it called “preventive” missile strikes on Iran, leading to massive explosions in Tehran. Several missiles reportedly hit areas near University Street and the Jomhouri district of the Iranian capital. The strikes have further intensified tensions between Israel and Iran, amid existing strain involving the United States over a possible nuclear agreement.Over the past two years, the long-standing shadow conflict between Israel and Iran has turned into direct military confrontations, including aerial strikes and missile attacks. Earlier this week, Israeli warplanes also launched airstrikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs following rocket fire from Lebanese territory. Also Read: Sonal Chauhan assures safety in Dubai amid Iran conflict; Nora Fatehi says ‘things are going to escalate’ in emotional post
